Hello and welcome to RWC TREE SURGEONS.

To briefly introduce myself, my name is Richard Copsey. I began my career and originally qualified at Askham Bryan College as a young teenager. I then went on to achieve an advanced craftsman certificate at Mersit Wood College near London in the same field. Furthering my ambitions I went to gain certification in powerline tree clearance, and travelled the country contracting in assistance to the national grid.

Having earned well (and spent very little) I was then able to set up this company and have proudly built up my business serving my local area for over 25 years.

I have always strived to maintain a very high standard in work practice’s and customer service. Over the decades I have put back into the business and built up our machinery stock, enabling us to tackle every possible tree scenario without the need for hire costs, passing those savings onto our customers.

I am mostly proud of my permanent team. Chris has been my right hand man for 15 years, he is highly experienced and extremely competent in all aspects of the business. Both of my sons have qualified in advanced courses and joined me here too, following me with their high level of commitment and expertise. My eldest recently went to tackle much larger trees in New Zealand. My wife provides an expert full TPO/Conservation application service, and ensures work is fully compliant. We also take on college students from Askham Bryan training to be tree surgeons, providing them with invaluable hands on work experience.
